Specializing in complete remodels, Lindsey Colhoun Design works closely and personally with each client to bring their dreams and visions to life. Our philosophy is less (but well thought out) is more and functionality is everything. We apply this philosophy to wardrobe, home and life.

Lindsey Colhoun Design specializes in crafting spaces that evolve gracefully over time. Our team's dedication to utilizing natural and neutral materials not only enhances their beauty as they age but also promotes sustainability by extending the life cycle of each project. With a focus on more tonal palettes, we weave together unexpected material and design combinations in our home design, remodeling and furnishings, resulting in elegantly curated spaces.

Meet Lindsey

Lindsey Colhoun is a native of Los Angeles and was exposed to architecture at birth as she was brought home from Cedars Sinai to a Frank Gehry home. Her mom is an accomplished interior designer, and her father, a successful comedic television producer. Lindsey grew up where your home is your sanctuary, a place to entertain, laugh and gather.

Lindsey wanted to study fashion in college, but her father urged her to study marketing so she could one day promote her own fashion brand. Lindsey graduated from University of Oregon as a Communications major in the Journalism school. Campaigns she wrote in college earned her respect by the University as they called her and her father together after graduating to be guest speakers as “experts in the field” for their prestigious Journalism program.

Lindsey quickly realized in her first job that writing commercials in a cubical for Legoland and Countrywide Home Mortgages wasn’t really her cup of tea. She moved onto her true passion which was design - she developed a handbag brand, Goldenbleu which was sold in over 500 stores worldwide and reached $10M a year in sales before she sold her half of the business. Lindsey consulted for House of Harlow as the creative director for handbags, then started some of her own clothing brands and consulted for others. What she loved most was the design and styling aspect. From there she partnered with long time childhood friend Jessie Gainsley to launch what would soon be a lucrative wardrobe styling business. Lindsey worked on her home design simultaneously and has in recent years focused most of her energy in the field of home design, in which she found her true passion.
