A Simple Guide to Fall Decorations

A Simple Guide to Fall Decorations

Fall season is here and we collected a couple of simple ways for you to achieve a cozy autumn vibe in your home without the use of holiday decorations.

Fall Decor Tip #1 - Embrace the colors of the season

It goes without saying that orange, yellow, red and brown tones are what we think of when it comes to autumn, and there are many ways to incorporate them into your home decor.

Books, candles, vases and mugs already create a cozy vibe in your home, and arranging those with a fall color palette around your house can enhance this effect.

Fall Decor Tip #2 - Arrange throw pillows and blankets

As the cold weather approaches it’s time to switch out those light blankets to the chunkier ones. The extra throw pillows can go back on the couch, the bed and the armchairs. When we imagine a cozy fall evening at home we see ourselves sinking into a pile of pillows with a nice hot cup of tea and a book in our hands.

There’s no such thing as too many pillows or blankets when it comes to fall, but be careful, it might get hard to leave your home after you make it so cozy.

Fall Decor Tip #3 - Bring the outdoors inside

Switch up freshly cut flowers to dried ones, add some colourful leaves to your bouquet and enjoy the ambiance they create.

Fall Decor Tip #4 - Fill up your fruit bowls

You don’t have to worry if you don’t have many fall colored items in your home, fruits are there for you to save the day. Apples and oranges may not be compared, but they certainly go well together in a bowl!

In addition to their looks, an other upside of them being out there in the open is that you might find yourself eating more fruits - and getting some extra Vitamin C never hurt anybody especially during the colder months.

Fall Decor Tip #5 - Take those candles out from storage

Depending on what effect you would like to achieve, you can utilize your candles in various ways. Spooky season is officially here, so why not get in the mood by dimming the lights and placing out all those candles you have?

If you’re not a fan of the spooky, and you want a cozy, soothing environment instead, lighting a few fall scented candles can definitely do the trick.

Fall Decor Tip #6 - Make it scream cozy

What do you think of when you imagine a cozy night? Board games? A movie? Snuggling up by the fireplace with a book? Whichever comes to mind there are ways to display anything that’s close to your heart around your home without making it look cluttered.

Don’t go overboard, only pick a few things. Try out different arrangements and see what works for you.
